FAA DRONE RULES
Here is a quick list of some of the main drone rules for flying commercially in the United States
Drone Maximum speed of 100 MPH
Drone must weigh less than 55 LBS
Minimum weather visibility of 3 MILES
Aircraft requires PRE-FLIGHT INSPECTION by the remote pilot in command
Pilot must have Part 107 DRONE LICENSE or be under the direct supervision someone who does
MAXIMUM ALTITUDE OF 400 FEET or within 400 feet of a structure
Drone pilots May use VISUAL OBSERVER (VO) but not required
Pilot or assistant must be able to SEE the aircraft with your NAKED EYE
NEVER FLY OVER GROUPS of people, public events, or stadiums full of people
Small unmanned aircraft may NOT OPERATE OVER ANY PERSONS not directly participating in the operation, not under a covered structure, and not inside a covered stationary vehicle
NEVER FLY NEAR EMERGENCY response efforts such as wildfires
DAYLIGHT-ONLY operations (Within 30min of sunrise & Sunset)
Drones must YIELD RIGHT OF WAY to other aircraft
Drone pilot can only fly ONE DRONE AT A TIME
No operations from a MOVING VEHICLE unless the operation is over a sparsely populated area
